Elvis Puggy Heals

On Saturday, May 5th, I noticed Elvis' breathing sounded bad.  I called his vet's office only to find there was a substitute vet there.  The staff got in touch with Dr. Nagell who called me a couple hours later.  He determined that Elvis had some fluid on his lungs and he prescribed lasix.  By the end of the day, Elvis was doing great - breathing almost back to normal and eating like a piggy.  On Sunday I bought him a swimming pool and a life jacket and we are going to begin some water therapy to strengthen his legs before the cart arrives.  The cart is scheduled to be completed on the 15th and we should get it about a week later.  Elvis is now dragging himself around using his front legs!
