Hi. My name is Elvis. I am also known as Elvis Puggy or The Elvinator. I was born on Nov. 1, 1996 in Phelan, CA. My Grandma is Marianne Casteel. My Dad, Tuffy, died recently. My AKC name is Here Comes Trouble. I came to live with my Mom on Dec. 28, 1996. We live in San Diego, CA. I have lived here all my life. I am a puggy genius. I have been to obedience classes (who needs 'em), but I don't have to obey my Mom because I am so cute. I have taken acting, trick training and modeling classes. I do what I want, when I want. Here are some major milestones in my life: I got a new cat brother (Scratchy) when I was 8 mo. old. We moved to Pershing St. a couple months later, where we live now. I had surgery for stenotic nares, elongated palate and entropion. Dr. Gary Simpson of the Spring Valley Vet Clinic did the surgery. I could breathe much better after my surgery. He also fixed my eyes. Mom had a big major anxiety attack - her first and only. A couple years later, I had my anal glands removed. Gross. Yuck. They kept getting impacted and Mom felt it would be better. I often have birthday parties - big ones with lots of friends, food and cakes. To be continued... |

Early this month, Elvis was stricken with a "mystery illness". His is still in need of treatment and lab tests and my credit cards are maxed out - I have given the vets everything I have and more. Elvis means the world to me and I want to make sure he gets the care he needs. I want to make it clear that I had money put aside for emergencies - I had a backup plan. But because his case was so complex, my resources were depleted within a week. I am not asking for more than I think I will need. I not only need money for vet care, we need meds, wee wee pads (he is still unable to walk), baby wipes, bottled water and special food. Unfortunately, we still have no diagnosis. I will keep updating this site daily. Any amount - even a dollar, will help. I never thought I would be in this position, but Elvis is so important to me. I am doing this for him, not for me. Update Elvis ate the tainted food - he ate the Nutro pouch moist food. He is recovering slowly, but he is recovering. On April 8th, his rear legs gave out and I rushed him to the emergency vet. He had been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. Because of his recent history, I have elected not to do any invasive procedures. He is currently getting acupuncture treatments with Dr. Barrie Sands at the VCA Animal Emergency Clinic. Elvis Puggy is getting wheels!
