Elvis Puggy's Acupuncture Treatment

Elvis went for his 2nd acupuncture treatment on April 13, 2007.  As most of you know, Elvis' rear legs gave out suddenly last weekend.  I took him to the emergency vet where he was treated by veterinarian and certified veterinary acupuncturist, Dr. Barrie Sands.  We followed up with our regular vet, Dr. Todd, who referred us to Dr. Lipsitz at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego.  Dr. Lipsitz informed us that Elvis needed further testing, ie a myelogram and surgery to correct degenerative disc disease.  Since Elvis is still recovering from eating the poisoned recalled food, I refused any invasive treatment and opted for holistic treatment instead.  Good thing I did because on Thursday (April 12), Elvis picked himself up and started to walk again.  Today, April 13th, we went for our 2nd acupuncture treatment with Dr. Sands.  Elvis was immediately relaxed and seemed to actually enjoy it.  I took some photos - it was really interesting.

Here is Elvis at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital on Wed. April 11th.

Here is Elvis standing in front of our home, Friday 4/13

He is still unsteady on and his back legs are pretty weak, but at least he is standing and walking.
